Tamil Meaning

[இவ்வுலக வாழ்க்கையைச் சார்ந்த பொய்யான காட்சிகளாலும் நம்பிக்கைகளாலுமான] பெரிய மாயையை நீக்கவல்ல கடவுளான திருமுருகப்பெருமான் தன் ஆறு திருமுகங்களாலும் பல வழிகளில் உபதேசித்து அருளிய தத்துவங்களை, அந்தோ, [மீண்டும் நினைவுகூர்ந்து] சொல்லாமற் போய்விட்டேனே! 'வீடு-செல்வம்-துணிமணி-மாதர்கள்' ஆகியவற்றால் [இறுதியில் பெரும் வருத்தத்தைத் தரும் பொய்யான] இவ்வுலக மாயையில் அகப்பட்டுக் கொண்டு அதை உண்மை என்று நம்பி அடியேன் இன்னும் தயங்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கின்றேனே!

English Meaning

The all-powerful Lord Thirumurugapperumaan with Six Sacred Faces expounded to me several precepts in order to get rid of the great deceitful illusion of this worldly life. Alas, I failed to [remember and] say those precepts. [After being caught up in the worldly illusion about one's home, clothes and women [which in the end only brings me great distress], I am still being hesitant, believing it to be real!
