கூதள மாலை அணியப் பெற்றவரே! வேடர் குலத்தவரான வள்ளியம்மையாரின் தலைவரே! வேதாளக் கூட்டத்தினர் புகழ்கின்ற வேலாயுத மூர்த்தியே! வீண்பேச்சு பேசுபவனாகவும் மிகவும் தீய குணமுடையவனுமாகிய அடியேனை ஒரு பொருளாகக் கருதி தேவரீர் ஆண்டருளிய கருணையானது சொல்லுந்தரமுடையதோ?

English Meaning

O, Lord, who is adorned with the garland of koothalam! You are the Lord of Valli-ammaiyaar! You are the God, who holds the lance, and You are adored by the group of spirits (imps)! Am I capable of applauding Your gracious compassion for having accepted me as a devotee, though I am one of vain speech and evil character?
