'முருகா, குமரா, குகா!' என்று மனம் உருகி அழைக்கும் செயலொழுக்கத்தையும் ஞானத்தையும் எப்போது அருள்வீர்?' என்று பக்தியுடன் பொருந்தி நிற்கும் வானோரும் இப்பூவுலகத்தினரும் துதித்துப் போற்றும் ['தன் வயத்தம், தூய்மை, இயற்கையறிவு, முற்றறிவு, பற்றின்மை, பேரருள், எல்லாம்வன்மை, வரம்பிலா இன்பம்' என்னும்] எட்டு வகையான தெய்வீகக் குணங்களாலாகிய பஞ்சரத்தில் வதியும் மகா குருவாகிய திருமுருகப்பெருமானே!

O, Lord Thirumurugapperumaan! You are the Supreme Preceptor, abiding in the abode, made of eight divine qualities [namely, self-existence, purity, natural wisdom, perfect wisdom, detachment, magnanimous grace, omnipotence, and limitless bliss]! You are the Lord, who is adored and praised by the pious celestials and the dwellers of the earth, and they anxiously enquire when You will graciously grant them the melting devotional act and wisdom of adoring You as Murugaa! Kumaraa! Kugaa!
